Good old landmark is back in Connaught Place

After an absence of several weeks from CP, the Capital's first "desi'' pizza place Nirula's is back in an improved new avatar. It has moved to Connaught Place K-Block, but the offerings are inviting as ever.
Many people's idea of "a perfect outing", Nirula's has been quietly serving comfort food for generations of Delhites who grew up at a time before every street corner shop had chocolate fudge and cookies on offer. The first destination of college students celebrating the end of their examinations or mourning the lack of romance or savouring the joy of actually finding some, Nirula's is an institution. And for many Dilliwallahs, a trip to Nirula's has always been a special occasion. It was the place where most youngsters were introduced to non-home-made pizzas, big burgers and foot-longs. Nirula's sticky hot-chocolate fudge -- their signature dish -- has become part of the cuisine the city is famous for. The only place that had 21 flavours of ice cream -- a big number before Italian gelatos made an appearance -- Nirula's were an integral part of growing up in Delhi.
Full of memories of significant birthdays, long drives with parents and extended family, Sunday trips with friends, Nirula's in CP was a vastly popular landmark. However, like the changes around, Nirula's too has changed now catering to a new generation of kids who have grown up with junk food. With Navis Capital Partners and Samir Kuckreja acquiring the Nirula's group of companies this year from the original Nirula's family, the hangout has acquired a new look. To inaugurate it, Nirula's brought in Bollywood actress Amrita Arora on Thursday — Mandira Nayar [source by:hindu.com]

Recently, she made news when her controversial flick Girlfriend opposite Isha Koppikar got released. The movie based on lesbian relationships bombed at the box office, but Amrita looked sizzling hot in it.

A typical family person, Amrita admires her mom and is extremely fond of her sister and wants to follow her footsteps. She wears clothes by Wendell Rodericks, Tarun Tahiliani, Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and her favorite designer brands are DKNY, Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger and Prada. Strangely enough, Amrita doesn’t like to play Holi, “I have never played Holi, and will never play it. Nothing against the festival, but I will never play Holi”, she says.
